I’m back up and running now! I’m in the process of merging two old websites into this blog/website at WordPress.com. As part of the transition, I am learning about domain mapping. I had to enter the new domain name server (DNS) information at GoDaddy.com for my “tmgfamilyhistory.com” domain in order to “map” it to WordPress. It takes about an hour for the transfer to the new domain server names to occur. I found out that during that time, neither site would work correctly.
All appears to be well now. For $12 per year, I can keep one domain for this project. It’s worth it. Now I can start adding the content from the old websites here. More to come…
